Did you know that what most people know as ‘yoga’ – the physical practice of asana – is just one piece of the puzzle?
In The Tree of Yoga, B.K.S. Iyengar offers his thoughts on Patanjali’s eight-limbed path that forms the structural framework for yoga practice. Each limb relates to an aspect of achieving a healthy and fulfilling life, and each builds upon the one before it, outlining a path for the aspiring yogi to follow.
In this workshop, students will be introduced to ancient philosophy that promotes a way of life that integrates the mind, body, and spirit. They will become familiar with the eight limbs of yoga and discuss how each can be realized in their own life and in the context of a physical yoga practice.
